Search performance (Google Search Console)
Connect Google to see clicks, impressions and ranking, and find the pages worth fixing.
- In Annulo, Settings → Connections → "Connect Google" (read-only; stored only on this computer). The Search page's "Connect Google" takes you there too.
- Back in the back office, open Search and link the site to a Search Console property — matched by domain automatically, or pick one.
If the site isn't in Search Console yet, add and verify it there first.
Google only counts the production domain: an unpublished site has no data. WordPress sites aren't supported here yet.
Synced daily, or click "Sync now": pages and their top queries for the last 28 days (ending 3 days ago — Google lags) and the 28 days before, plus a daily trend for the last 180 days. Click a day on the trend to see that day's top queries and pages.
Queries with search operators (like site:) or your brand terms aren't counted as demand when finding opportunities. Brand terms = the main part of your domain + the brand terms in Project settings.
- Low CTR: on page one with plenty of impressions, but under half the expected click-through for that position — the title and description aren't earning the click.
"Suggest title and description" → review → "Hand to assistant" (check it on preview; you publish) → after publishing, "Live, start review".
- Near page one: average position 8–20; a bit more content could get it onto page one.
"Add content" produces a brief (missing search intents, sections to add, FAQs, which pages should link to it) → "Hand page edit to assistant" → after publishing, "Live, start review".
Queries with demand but no page of yours ranking are added to the topic pool on each sync (up to 10).
The "Change reviews" tab in Search — see the site audit article.
