Channels: Creght sites and WordPress
Adding sites, and how to set up a WordPress application password.
Channels are the places you run. Sites are added under Channels; social accounts under Social (see "Social"). Other sites in your account don't show up until you add them.
Channels → "Add channel" → Creght site, then choose from the sites in your creght account. You get traffic stats, audits, GEO, publishing articles to the CMS, leads, search performance and change reviews.
Channels → "Add channel" → WordPress site, and fill in three things:
- Site URL, e.g. https://example.com;
- Username: a WordPress user who can publish posts;
- Application password: in WordPress, go to Users → Profile, scroll to Application Passwords, give it a name (e.g. Annulo), create it and copy the generated password. It isn't your login password, and you can revoke it there any time.
Click "Verify and add": the application password is saved as a local secret on this computer, the back office keeps only the username and the secret's name, and it connects once to confirm it can publish. Later, use "Check connection" on the Channels page; if the password stops working or you revoked it, click "Update application password". On a new computer you'll enter it again.
WordPress sites support audits, GEO and publishing articles as WordPress posts. Not yet: traffic stats (shown as "No traffic stats"), lead sync and search performance. There's no preview environment, so the assistant's site changes go live immediately — it asks before each one.
Remove it on the Channels page (you'll be asked to confirm). This only stops running it from the back office; the site itself isn't deleted.
